It began as one person sitting at a table at night, studying to file documents for a legal proceeding.
Five years later, it is clear we need to dedicate time and resources to establish a formal organization that fights for equality, advocates for change and supports families who face the 6-month wait in Canada and the United States.
We are always looking for volunteers, no matter how much time you have to spend with us.
Drop us a line and let us know what you might be interested in doing. Here's a list of some of our ideas. We would love to here yours!
a friendly voice on the phone for a person with limited connections
a driver who can offer to take someone to an appointment
a foodie who can offer a homecooked meal to a patient living in a hotel post transplant
a fundraiser who can help us increase our services
a fit person who would love to share their sport or activity with someone in recovery from alcohol use disorder
a hobbyist who would enjoy sharing their passion to someone who is recovering at home
a reader who might like to share a great book or start a book club
...and much more!
